The Lady Eagles Basketball Team concluded their season over the weekend. Friday night they had a thrilling overtime win over Sullivan 60 to 59 to advance to the title game. Saturday’s opponent, Northview, proved to be up to the task of ending BC’s run through the sectional as the Lady Knights took home the title. A special thank you to all the students, staff, administration and community members that showed up and cheered the team on last week. It was an amazing atmosphere and an unforgettable experience.

Two of our 11th graders, Jacob Landry and Noah Hostetler, both received callbacks and scholarships from colleges at the State Thespian Conference after they auditioned for multiple schools. Eleventh graders normally get little notice at State, as they are too young and are prepping themselves for the senior auditions the following year. They have never received scholarships for college, but not only did they get called back (Jacob received 4 callbacks and Noah received 5) but Noah was awarded a scholarship for a total of $7000 from Findlay University in Ohio. Jacob was told he would receive a $10,000 scholarship to New York Conservatory for the Arts but he informed the professor of acting that he was still a junior, so was awarded a $500 scholarship for this summer’s 4-week acting workshop, with more to be awarded next year at State Conference.
