Mr. Townsend (BCHS Engineering Teacher) took this incredible group of young women to Purdue last weekend. The WOWiT (Windows of Opportunity for Women in Technology) is a single day event put on by Purdue to expose female students to different career pathways and areas of interest in the world of Technology and Engineering. They attended sessions put on by each of the majors of study in the Purdue Polytechnic college. They also get a campus tour, a nice lunch, and listen to a presentation about admissions at Purdue. The young women really enjoyed it this year and last year. Mr. Townsend plans on taking a group each year as long as it is offered. The students in the photo are as follows (left to right): Brittany Miller (Senior), Solei Garland (Junior), Gabrielle Bethards (Sophomore), Shelby York (Sophomore), and Chloee Robison (Freshman).
